Was Obama married twice?


This picture was taken at an undated time, from when Obama attended Columbia University. His grandpa Dunham died in 1992. Obama attended Columbia University from 1981 to 1983. He married Michelle in 1993.
So how is it possible that Obama is wearing a wedding ring at that time?
